The Sea Horse Institute™ At-A-Glance

The 55th meeting will be held at The Plaza hotel in Daytona Beach, FL.

A unique forum for informal exchange of information to increase the understanding of marine corrosion problems and their solutions.

Sunday, October 26 through Thursday, October 30, 2008

Join veterans in the marine corrosion field to share a wealth of expertise as well as an exclusive learning experience for newcomers.

Regardless of position, individuals involved with ocean and coastal engineering, from sailing on the high seas to plant operation using seawater coolant, need to recognize the problems caused by marine corrosion and the means by which to solve these problems.

Previous attendees have found new insight and solutions to their marine corrosion problems from the discussions at this meeting. The knowledge gained and the solutions learned have proven to be an economic benefit to their companies by avoiding failures and reducing life cycle costs.

The SEA HORSE INSTITUTE™ brings together engineers, scientists, technicians and maintenance personnel, plant managers, and many others to share their knowledge and years of experience.

Meeting Format:
Attendees are encouraged to make brief informal presentations and to ask questions. Formal presentations are neither solicited nor permitted. There are no published preprints or proceedings of the meeting.
